About this role
Overview
The Data Solutions and Reporting function within BlackRock People Analytics supports the global HR community and other collaborators across BlackRock for all data related to the employee life cycle.
We are looking for a
Reporting & Analytics Architect
The Architect is responsible for building and maintaining the Workday reporting infrastructure and creating scalable data models for solutions that enable insights and decision making.
Responsibilities
- Support a team that provides data solutions, reports, and dashboards by understanding multi-functional needs and usage across functions, including Compensation, HR Business Partners, Talent Management, HR Operations, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and Recruiting.
- Work closely with HR Leadership to ensure accurate and timely access to data, reports, and tools in support of data driven decisions in partnership with business leaders and Talent Insights.
- Determine optimal solutions for delivering data in Workday via data models using Workday, Prism Analytics, and Adaptive.
- Partner closely with collaborators inside and outside of HR (e.g. Finance) to understand complex reporting requirements and create complex custom reports (matrix, composite, advanced etc.).
- Collaborate with internal clients to incorporate testing and feedback into the development lifecycle, partner with clients' post-production to ensure continued adoption of delivered solutions.
- Keep up to date with Workday updates and plan for changes per future releases.
- Develop tactical and long-term data models that are scalable and adaptable to evolving HR changes.
- Implement risk and controls into all solutions, demonstrate solid understanding of data privacy and BlackRock data security requirements.
- Manage integrations between Workday, Prism, Workday Adaptive and external data sources that are brought into Workday Prism.
This role will require strong relationships with colleagues across HR (Platforms & Infrastructure, Operations, Business Partners, Talent, Compensation) as well as across BlackRock Corporate functions including Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal etc. to identify, prioritize, design, execute, and drive adoption of self-service analytics tools and building organizational capabilities in driving data-based decisions.
Success will be achieved through supporting a team that provides partnership to the global HR function. Beyond your immediate team and colleagues, you will have the opportunity to influence a geographically diverse team consisting of a broad range of HR colleagues with varying data capabilities. We will look to you to counsel this distributed team on how to lead and apply data to drive decisions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience building and delivering impactful HR Data, Reporting and Dashboard solutions
- 2+ years of using Workday Prism Analytics
- Ability to manage work with the utmost level of confidentiality and discretion
- Advanced knowledge of Workday Reporting and Dashboarding.
- Solid data visualization and storytelling skills to effectively communicate insights and influence decisions
- Business sense, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Adaptable, logical, and capable of flexing solutions to changing demands
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate ability to proactively anticipate problems and opportunities and confidence to use initiative to pursue solutions
- Ability to think about end-to-end processes, especially the user experience, to deliver on business as well as technical outcomes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
