This role is part of an application development function within Aladdin Engineering Enterprise Engineering team within BlackRock's powerful asset management platform. The position
We are looking for an experienced Workday Integrations Engineer, passionate about building quality software and scaling technology to meet the needs of tomorrow. You will be part of Enterprise Engineering team, developing applications and systems for our stakeholders. You will participate in the continuous development, improvement and support of our production and staging/QA environments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert on large collection of Workday Integrations.
- Lead the research, design, development, testing, and delivery of new Workday Integrations.
- Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration development life-cycle.
- Research integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and report back to management and business leaders.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and objectives.
- Designing and developing custom integrations using Workdays integration tools such as Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Cloud Connect and Document Transformation leveraging web service technologies, SOAP, REST, WSDL, XML, XSLT.
- Configuring and maintaining Workdays core connectors for modules such as HCM & Payroll.
- Understand data flows and system usage between internal systems and Workday, driving alignment with other system owners.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.Tech/BE/masters degree in computer science, Engineering or in related field
- 3+ years of experience building Workday Integrations.
- Experience building Workday custom reports and calculated fields.
- Experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors.
- Knowledge and experience of Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, PECI, Cloud Connectors, Document Transformation, and BIRT.
- Expertise in data transformation languages including XSLT, XTT/ETV.
- Familiarity with XML and JSON required.
- Familiarity with Integration security (ISU, PGP Key, MFA).
- Strong understanding of Workday SOAP and REST web service directories and related security domains.
- Strong understanding of Workday data architecture.
Nice to have and opportunities to learn
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate platform.
- Experience in Java/ Spring Framework/Sprint Boot/Hibernate.
- Experience with DevOps and tools like Azure DevOps
