What is the opportunity?
As the Wealth Planner, you will meet with HNW clients to ascertain and understand their wealth planning needs and personal situations. You will be responsible for formulating wealth structure solutions covering distribution, succession, legacy, liquidity/insurance planning and asset protection.
What will you do?
- Provide wealth planning solutions to clients referred by Private Bankers/Investment Advisors in Asia, Canada and US
- Liaise with trust centres to arrange for formation of clients' chosen holding structures
- Explain to clients the features, costs and benefits of the proposed structures
- Conduct periodic review with clients existing structures
- Work with other professionals (e.g. lawyers) at clients' request and where appropriate on bespoke structures.
- Work with third-party insurance brokers to provide clients with complete wealth structuring and liquidity planning solutions
- Conduct presentations at client events to introduce the concept of wealth structuring and liquidity planning
- Conduct training for Private Bankers/Investment Advisors and orientation training for new hires
- Participate in prospecting events and meetings
- Participate in develop new products and marketing material related to wealth planning and estate settlement
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- The role would typically require 5 years of relevant experience in client-facing role within the private banking industry
- Good experience in handling trust and insurance products
- Good knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong team player and excellent customer servicing skills
Nice-to-have
- University degree in Finance, Economics or other relevant professional qualifications is nice to have
- STEP qualified is nice to have
