Role Description
BlackRock is looking to continue its expansion in China with talented individuals who can truly drive the business to the next level. We are currently looking for an experienced professional with a desire to advance his/her career to take up the role ofInstitutional Sales (FMC). The position will be based in Shanghai.
This role will play a key role in developing and articulating strategic vision and plan for China FMC Institutional business and identify key growth opportunities. The successful candidate will be a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of domestic mutual fund market, and experience working in a local and global context.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise the brand profile of FMC and promote product offerings to the institutional client base. Deliver AUM and revenue targets for the business.
- Cultivate institutional client relationships through engagement driving medium to long-term commercial growth as measured by a range of performance metrics.
- Formulate a talent acquisition strategy to identify and recruit high potential, diverse talent in the China market.
- Lead and manage the FMC institutional team, maximizing their potential and foster their development for success.
- Practice authentic, inclusive and inspirational leadership to set out the vision for the FMC institutional business and drive execution of the firm-wide strategy across functions.
- Partner with key stakeholders across businesses including investment teams, client services, marketing, legal & compliance in delivering commercial outcomes.
- Work with BlackRock teams in Asia to optimize resources to meet client needs and business objectives in an efficient manner
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- At least 10 years' experience in China onshore asset management and proven track record in business development with institutional clients.
- Experience with managing joint venture and business partners preferred
- Proficiency in writtenand spokenEnglish and Chinese
- Strong teamwork skills, capable of collaborating across borders and cultures, leveraging global resources and infrastructure to provide exceptional service to clients.
- Passion for people management, serving as a coach and mentor to cultivate a high-performing team.
- Possession of required regulatory licenses.
