About this role
The team are seeking a Vice President level Investor to focus on US Real Estate Securities. The role will be based in New York, reporting to the Head of Real Estate Securities, Americas. All prospective candidates must be able to work constructively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be expected to work closely with portfolio managers and analysts across the platform, drive alpha generation and investment process excellence. Responsibilities include
- Conduct bottom-up research and analysis to identify investment opportunities across the real estate securities universe
- Develop and manage financial models across a defined coverage list
- Implement and enhance the team's fundamental and bottom-up oriented investment process
- Monitor and adjust portfolio positions
- Work closely with colleagues across the firm to leverage the power of BlackRock
- Present our strategies and capabilities to existing and prospective clients
- The role will require travel
- We are seeking strong communication, presentation and leadership skills
Qualifications
- Suitable professional experience, ideally over 5 years, with a history of excellence
- Ability to demonstrate strong research, quantitative and analytical skills
- Achievement and team oriented
- Creative and critical independent thinker
- Passion for real estate and financial markets
- Graduate or equivalent.
- A relevant Masters degree, the CFA designation desirable
For New York City only The salary range for this position is $147,500 $209,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
