Job Description
Position Summary
Seeking to hire a leader within the Debt Capital Markets team, with a particular focus on executing corporate and property level financing transactions, managing lending relationships, and hedging activities.
Essential Duties

Expertise in all stages of financing transactions, with primary responsibilities shown below
- Oversee and/or implement fund specific structuring, negotiation and closing of property level secured loans and/or corporate unsecured loans, including responsibility for negotiating loan documentation with lenders
- Manage and report in-place and projected financial covenants for secured and/or corporate financings, including recourse obligations for internal and external purposes
- Manage existing lender relationships and drive formation of new ones
- Source financing for fund investments, both directly and through mortgage brokers
- Think strategically about cross function opportunities with lending and debt broker relationships
- Track secured and unsecured debt markets, implement existing debt strategies while seeking to develop new ones, when applicable
- Develop and implement hedging strategies including execution of swaps and caps, manage hedging implications from an accounting and finance perspective and ongoing regulatory compliance and ISDA documentation
- Oversee implementation of loan abstracts and tracking for newly closed loans and updates to quarterly financing summaries
- Periodically update debt underwriting assumptions to be used for acquisition underwriting
- Track ancillary business for primary lending relationships and recommend partnership allocations where appropriate
- Conduct capital market research by analyzing comparable company financial reports, analyst research, economic reports, and general real estate research
- Partner with accounting and portfolio management teams on forecasting, treasury management, certain corporate modeling activities, including periodic reports
- Evaluate short term cash investment alternatives, when applicable
- Oversee loan draw requests and line of credit

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- A Bachelors degree (in finance or accounting is preferred) and minimum of 10 years of applicable work experience and extensive experience reviewing and negotiating real estate related loan documents is required.
- Prior experience in the following areas also preferred cash management, liquidity planning and control, management of interest, procurement of finance and financial investments, banking and agency ratings, and corporate finance.
- Excellent written and communication skills required.
- The incumbent must be a proactive, good listener, collaborative problem-solver, self-motivated and team-oriented individual.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required Argus proficiency a plus, but not required.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities required.
- Willingness and ability to travel required.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information required. High ethical standards required.

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
