Summary of duties Manage risk and duration exposure for multi-currency fixed income portfolios within risk tolerances in compliance with client and fund guidelines and restrictions. Conduct market research and contribute to alpha generation through relative value and portfolio construction. Raise orders to implement portfolio agendas and maintain positioning across book. Monitor and invest cash flows resulting from client subscriptions and redemptions. Research and resolve compliance violations due to both active and passive movement. Work with the team's product specialists to develop client solutions, build model portfolios, and ensure smooth on-boarding processes and account activation for new mandates. Enhance portfolio management processes by contributing to the development and implementation of portfolio construction and reporting tools. Produce reporting required by Product Strategy or client facing teams. Four (4) days in office and one (1) day remote work per week.
Qualifications Bachelors degree in Financial Economics, Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience as an Associate, Fixed Income Product Strategy or a related role. Must have one (1) year of experience with relative value analysis, performance attribution, and benchmark construction utilizing programming, data querying, and scripting languages including R, Python, and SQL to handle large datasets and assessing operational risk issues in changing market environments. Must have experience with portfolio management, portfolio construction, risk management, compliance and operations, or trading and advanced Excel including VBA.

For New York City only The salary range for this position is $156,400 $165,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
