Key Responsibilities
- Owns implementation of POA (Point Of Arrival) for Columbia Threadneedle Investments (CTI) front office teams in India per Global Transformation design. Leader point of contact for Control Tower and CTI GEG leadership, for implementation, tracking and reporting out on migration status of aligned functions. Partners with CTI functional workstream leaders to ensure strong recruiting/ onboarding and seamless handover of migrated functions.
- Plays change agent role, driving ongoing refresh and build out of global resourcing strategy for CTI front office functions, in partnership with CTI GEG and functional workstream leadership. Connects with local industry forums to build competitive landscape insights regarding evolution of offshore capabilities in asset management industry. Engages AMP India leadership to tap into best practices in leveraging India capabilities, across other parts of Ameriprise. Coaches/ assists emerging functions with capability development/ evolution and seamless migrations.
- Local leader for CTI Front Office teams in India. Engages senior functional leaders for ongoing oversight of talent (including recruiting, onboarding and ongoing people leadership) and delivery excellence (including goal alignment, managing SLAs and conflict management). Partners with Talent Acquisition team to identify and develop local talent pools. Partners with Organizational Effectiveness for talent development, in line with short and long term functional priorities.
- Builds and leverages relevant network of advisors, including CTI GEG leaders for aligned functions and their extended teams, to troubleshoot issues related to day-to-day delivery expectations and to evolve India presence to drive higher-value outcomes and enhanced level of functional ownership. Partners with CTI GEG leaders and Ameriprise India leadership team for alignment with local policies/ procedures.
- Drives automation and lean/ continuous improvement agenda across CTI front office teams in India, in partnership with functional leadership, enterprise Intelligent Automation program and Ameriprise Indias Office Of Innovation. Leverages learnings and new capabilities, to support efficiency goals/ opportunities across global functions. Partners with CTI GEG leaders to leverage the India entity as a low-cost innovation center for R&D and development of new/ emerging technologies and revenue platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Experience building and implementing front office strategy/ roadmap across a large, diverse, global asset management firm
- Demonstrated excellence in leading large front office functions like distribution, investment research and marketing, in matrixed environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to crisply articulate complex technical concepts to senior CXO level audiences with confidence
- Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent written communication skills
- Experience driving automation programs and solutions across global teams
- Experience in driving systematic process improvements (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)

- High performer in a line management position with experience playing partner/ counsel role to most management levels
- High level of energy and creativity willingness to go the extra mile
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to coach and train, including conducting group and one to one training
