Responsibilities
The Client Services department is responsible for delivering excellence in service on behalf of our products, strategies and Oaktree operations teams to Oaktree investors globally. The Client Services Representative (CSR) will interact directly with clients and coordinate with Oaktree's Marketing (sales) representatives and all Oaktree departments, including Product Management, Reporting & Performance, Diligence Services, Legal, Compliance, Accounting and Portfolio Management to lead and direct the Oaktree client experience.
Relationship Management
- Partners with Marketing representatives on managing client relationships acts as primary point of contact for servicing large institutional relationships. Monitors client engagement and proactively identifies ways to ensure optimal level of client engagement.
- Responsible for responding to inquiries and determining proactive ways to increase client engagement.
- Serves as point of escalation for client issues.
- Organizes and leads client review and diligence meetings.
- Oversees client onboarding activities (ensures moving through document submissions, mutual understanding of reporting requirements, welcome notes/portal access, etc.).
Sales and Due Diligence Partner
- Partners closely with Marketing (sales) to lead or support the Investment Due Diligence (IDD) process (e.g., SMA structuring discussions facilitating RFPs, legal negotiations, and other diligence activities prepping investment teams and other firm members with key objectives for upcoming meetings).
- Understands key clients' investment goals, allocations and current manager make-up and new searches builds relationships with main contacts for both investments and operations at key client organizations.
- Assists with presentations and proposals for cross-strategy, multi-strategy or strategic partnership opportunities (working with Product Management on strategy-specific content).
- Coordinates and/or creates presentations for cross-selling, multi-strategy or strategic partnership opportunities.
Strategy Alignment
- Partners with Product Specialists on investment strategy communications, operations matters, and other strategy-specific activities.
- Partners with other CSRs to ensure consistency in service across strategies
- Creates operational due diligence content.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services Industry
- Solid foundation in investor servicing and investment finance concepts including existing knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, the legal, accounting, compliance and investment aspects of the investment products offered by Oaktree
- Prior client-facing and sales-support experience
- Highly resourceful ability to exercise superior judgment regarding investor requests to interpret them, ask appropriate questions, do homework, and utilize internal resources judiciously
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- Series 7 and 63 licensed (or ability to obtain on expedited basis).

Education
Bachelor's Degree
CFA, CAIA, or MBA designations a plus
Base Salary Range
$160,000 - $200,000
In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a
