In this role, you will

  • Be accountable for the oversight of key vendor relationships of high scope and complexity. Maintain active positive relationships with designated points of contact with key vendors at all levels to escalate, discuss and resolve issues relative to the services.
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships, oversee, and report on vendor performance.
  • Analyze vendor required reports and performance data, to ensure that Vanguard obtains the highest value and expected return for its investment.
  • Review, provide input, and approve vendor performance improvement plans related to procured services.
  • Monitor the post contract performance of the vendor relative to product or service delivery and performance and may make change recommendations to management. Compile data and reports for managerial or executive review on aggregate vendor performance.
  • Oversee other business operations and contractual obligations as assigned.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts and problems that have been referred by others and regularly provides work direction and guidance to less seasoned crew to ensure an effective implementation of Vanguards short- and long-term strategies.
  • Direct and oversee work for the analyst aligned to the same business operations towers.
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes

  • Eight years related work experience.
  • Experience in full-service recordkeeping required.
  • External vendor relationship management experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
