Job Description

As a Transformation Lead, you will be providing ongoing representation of our Retirement Operations team while consulting on Product-led North American Value Streams. This is a key role within the Transformation Delivery team to drive transformation in alignment with our target operating model for Operations.

The Transformation Lead is an integral contributor to the ongoing development and creation of innovative products as well as continued improvement of our existing offerings. In this role, you will advocate for Operations efficiencies and automation as well as influence product decisions to ensure outcomes align with our Operations transformation objectives. You will assist in the identification and mitigation of business risks and impacts and support the marketing, training and change management teams' deliverables to ensure they meet business needs.

In a rapidly changing environment, you'll require the ability to manage competing priorities. You'll also require strong communication and relationship building skills to build and maintain effective relationships with subject matter experts, stakeholders, Operations management, and value stream leads and members. We are looking for someone with

  • 5+ years' experience working in the North American financial industry
  • Experience and strong knowledge of Canadian (preferred) or US Retirement Operations
  • Experience with Manulife recordkeeping systems is an asset
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders
  • Knowledge of/exposure to agile project management is advantageous
  • Experience in managing timelines and stakeholders effectively
  • Confidence who is a self-starter and results focused
  • Superior analytical and organizational skills
  • The ability to collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity while making appropriate judgment calls
  • E
  • xcellent speaking and writing skills to convey key messages in a succinct manner
  • The ability to maneuver complex information and distil into key meaningful insights and high impact slides to tell a story (strong PowerPoint skills is an asset)

On the job you will

  • Contribute as the Transformation Lead on Canadian Retirement Value streams to support Operations in the development of product enhancements
  • Act as representative for all areas of Operations (Contact Centre, Member processing, Sponsor processing, Payroll services and Sponsor services)
  • With support from Operations Subject Matter Experts, actively interact and provide insights to value streams and team members
  • Support data-driven decisions by providing input on the right insights from the business
  • Work in and across cross-functional teams, to improve and execute business processes that serve the needs of all Operations stakeholders
  • Build relationships across the organization
  • Be creative and diligent in providing input and addressing various problems
  • Consult on multiple initiatives affecting different areas of the business
  • Manage multiple requests and meet challenging deadlines
