Job Description

As the Technology Third Party Risk Optimization Leader at Northern Trust,

the incumbent

will spearhead efforts to

optimize

our third-party risk management program with a specific focus on technology vendors.

The

incumbent

will

play a pivotal role in

identifying

opportunities to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and resilience of our technology third-party risk management processes and controls

.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for

optimizing

technology-focused third-party risk management practices,

leveraging

industry standards, emerging trends, and best practices to enhance the maturity and effectiveness of our program.

Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline and standardize technology third-party risk assessment, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring processes, driving efficiencies and reducing redundancy while

maintaining

rigor and quality.

Partnering with the Enterprise Third Party Management Office, e

valuate and enhance the use of technology and automation tools to streamline risk assessment workflows, improve data collection and analysis, and enhance reporting capabilities for better decision-making and risk oversight.

Collaborate with technology, cybersecurity, and procurement teams to integrate risk management considerations into the technology vendor selection, contracting, and relationship management lifecycle.

Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of existing

T

echnology third-party relationships to

identify

areas for optimization, improvement, and consolidation, with a focus on enhancing risk mitigation strategies and reducing exposure.

Develop and deliver targeted training and awareness programs to educate technology and business stakeholders on best practices for technology third-party risk management optimization and continuous improvement.

Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on

T

echnology third-party risk management optimization, providing guidance, support, and thought leadership to internal stakeholders and senior management.

Stay abreast of emerging technology trends, cybersecurity threats, and regulatory developments

impacting

third-party risk management, and proactively adapt the program to address evolving risks and challenges.

oster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement to drive positive change and elevate the effectiveness of our

third-party

risk management function.
