Major Duties

  • Responsible for supervising a process within the Alternative Investments group, including the assistance in monthly one on ones and performance management process
  • Identify error or risk prone areas & build robust controls to mitigate deliver a work product that requires less revision
  • Regularly reviews process documentation assuring that changes are documented on a timely basis
  • Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
  • May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
  • Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
  • Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work
  • Conducts performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions

Knowledge

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Analytical and problem solving skills are required
  • Understanding of Risk, Audit and Compliance functions
  • Leadership and organizational skills are needed to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff

Experience

  • A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is required
  • Experience in Capital Markets with exposure to Hedge funds/ Private Equity/ Valuation Reporting/ Reconciliations/ Accounting would be an added advantage
