Description
This position will follow our hybrid work model. We expect the selected candidate to work 2-3 days a week at one of our corporate offices in St. Petersburg, FL, Memphis, TN, or Southfield, MI.
Job Summary
We are seeking a supervisor who will provide direction, leadership, and support for the Retirement Plan Services department in Operations. Youll implement business plans and ensure that policies and procedures are followed. You'll take charge of various projects to improve efficiency and drive productivity and quality within your area. You should have a broad understanding of the different areas of Operations. You will work closely with both our team members and clients to identify, research, analyze, and resolve issues. You will monitor productivity and service levels using the various reports available. As a strong people leader, you will provide coaching, development, and performance management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- You will partner with peers across sites to set and achieve performance goals for your department. This includes planning, assigning, monitoring, reviewing, evaluating, and leading your teams work.
- Youll play a key role in interviewing and hiring associates who align with the core competencies needed to strengthen the department and reduce turnover.
- Acts as a key information resource and ensures ongoing training and development. You will handle performance management, including career development and progressive discipline for direct reports.
- Oversees team morale by planning appropriate team-building activities and implementing rewards and recognition programs to maintain a positive work environment.
- Works collaboratively to set objectives and develop processes that ensure efficient and timely workflow, focusing on service delivery, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Ensures that all necessary documentation and departmental tools, such as job procedures, aids, and forms, are created and maintained.
- Establishes both internal and external partnerships through careful analysis of business needs to enhance departmental success.
- Facilitates organizational change, addresses resistance, and supports individuals in adapting to new ways of working.
- Collaborates effectively with other supervisors across functional groups to achieve goals and implement policy/process changes, often involving multiple sites.
- Takes decisive action when necessary, conveying a sense of urgency to achieve results. You will interpret and apply organizational policies and procedures consistently.
- Manages annual budgets in alignment with organizational goals, making necessary adjustments, and implements system changes, managing impacts on the team and broader operations.

Knowledge
- Deep understanding of investment concepts, practices, and procedures within the securities industry, including financial markets and product knowledge.
Skills
- Skilled in interpreting and applying policies and procedures, establishing operational objectives, and implementing efficient workflow processes.
- Proficient in preparing and managing operational budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
- Exceptional ability to promote effective coordination between work groups, facilitating meetings to ensure all viewpoints are considered and integrating diverse business unit needs into operational processes.
Abilities
- Ability to learn quickly, plan, assign, monitor, review, evaluate, and supervise the work of others. Strong leadership skills to coach and mentor team members, identify training needs and foster their development.
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Proven ability to lead by providing high-level customer service and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Adept at balancing conflicting resources and priority demands and partnering with other functional areas to achieve common objectives.
Education/Previous Experience
- Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Three (3) or more years experience in financial services/operations, including one (1) year as a team lead or leadership experience in a financial or service organization.
Licenses/Certifications
- SIE is required,

- or the ability to obtain within 120 days (as required by FINRA), may be required depending on the assigned functional area. Persons holding Series 6, 7, 17, 37, or 38 or those who hold principal-level registrations Series 4, 9/10, 14, 16, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 51, and 53 would be qualified to register as an Operations Professional (Series 99) without passing the examination.
