Job Summary
Global WAM is a one of the two areas of growth for MFC and contributes three of the ten Must-Win Battles (MWBs). WAM's ambition is to become a Top-25 money manager in the world by 2022 and contribute almost a quarter of MFC's earnings.
The role is an integral contributor to this ambition this role assists the various team members in ad-hoc analysis of strategic ideas and, periodic reporting. The role is independently responsible for reporting on competitor activity to the head of the business. The role will report to the AVP, WAM strategy.

Key Accountabilities
Develop appropriate communication material
- Assist in developing appropriate communications material for various external audiences like analyst meetings/calls, rating agency presentations, and external conferences
- Working with Marketing Communications, assist in development of the internal WAM team communications plan to effectively communicate the WAM strategy and periodic progress against it
- Co-ordinate the development of Board presentations, ELT presentations, CEO presentations with Corporate Strategy team
Maintain competitor lens reporting
- Leverage deep industry knowledge to effectively partner and collaborate across business and functional teams at all levels
- Produce periodic reporting on competitor activities including M&A and business results for Head of business
Work on ad-hoc strategic projects
- Work with the three Directors and one Associate Vice President team members on ad-hoc strategic analysis which may involve market entry analysis, diagnosis into businesses or customer segments, blue sky strategic analysis
Candidate profile
- Minimum of 1-3 years of working experience, preferably in investment banking, management consulting, research or wealth & asset management business
- Result-oriented with an ability to multi-task, prioritize multiple initiatives and develop solutions where blueprints may not exist
- Strong business acumen with an aptitude for strategic, critical and analytical thinking
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong emotional intelligence to deal with sensitivity of information & seniority of audience
