WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Active Directory Production Services team is a diverse team undertaking multiple complex enterprise-wide initiatives. In this role you will be responsible in troubleshooting and assisting applications and other infrastructure teams with day to day support of the Active Directory authentication issues. You will also implement/refresh/maintain the AD infrastructure for the Technology Currency program including risk compliance/vulnerabilities/maintenance tasks and audit inquiries.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Primary responsibilities will be to manage the Active Directory production environment (incident/change management) and address monitoring alerts in accordance to SLA
- Provide daily 2nd Level Support for AD Authentication issues to various RBC Enterprise Applications
- Identify/manage/remediate vulnerabilities and technology security standard issues for risk compliance of a crown jewel
- Address/reply to all business correspondences by next business day
- Identify areas for maximizing resource use, documenting new findings and updating remediation processes
- 7/24 pager escalation support for emergency incidents as well as implement planned infrastructure changes
- Shift Work a combination of day and evening shifts on rotating basis
- Overtime as required
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have
- Experience with Active Directory infrastructure and/or administration in a multi-domain/forest environment
- Degree/diploma in Computer Science or equivalent training/certification
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills along with strong organizational skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and projects to meet production timelines
- Windows Server operating system support experience (2016/2019/2022)
Nice-to-have
- Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Understanding of disaster recovery and backup tools
- Knowledge of Group Policies, DNS, IP/DHCP/subnetting, FSMO roles, Certificates and AD specific utilities
- Experience with change and incident management (Service Now) in a fast-paced production support environment
