Overview of the role
This role will report into the Head, Enterprise Critical Vendor Management (ECVM). Responsibilities include partnering with key stakeholders and our supply chain to support the organization's 3rd party vendor oversight program for a portfolio of suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Develop/maintain strong long terms working relationships with key business decision makers internally and externally with vendors and stakeholders throughout the year
- Provide on going monitoring and oversight of assigned vendors to ensure that the terms of the contracts are achieved. Includes reporting on adherence to KPIs, SLAs and financial targets.
- Analyze vendor financial statements Present complex financial concepts to a wide audience.
- Arrange and conduct Supplier Business Reviews
- Risk Management Maintain close working relationships with vendors. Facilitate regular performance management discussions with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure that any issues are surfaced and can be mitigated before they become an event/ escalation.
- Resilience and continuity maintain constant dialogue with vendors that allows stakeholders to assess any ongoing risks to supply/ system outages and make alternative exit plans as appropriate. Includes supporting the oversight and testing of vendor exist strategies.
- Support the incident reporting, remediation and closure process across vendors.
- Perform periodic quality control reviews of required supply chain artifacts for compliance to internal policies and regulatory criteria.
Knowledge & Skills
- Must also have strong analytical and communication skills to be impactful with external regulators and partners.
- Strong business acumen with proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Requirements
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance or Risk and/or other appropriate academic major is highly preferred
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working with vendors/clients in other large financial institutions in a Risk/ Vendor Management practice
- 3-5 counting firm, or particular business/industry experience to meet special needs of vendor manager/ 3rd party oversight
