RBCx
One critical component of RBCx is Strategic Design (SD). SD leverages the best people to conduct in-depth consumer research, design extraordinary customer experiences, build memorable and unique brands and effective marketing campaigns, transforming how consumers experience RBC.
What is the opportunity?
SD is hiring a Senior Visual Designer to join our Creative Team. This person will be asked to own, design and refine the brand identity, develop internal and external marketing assets, and generate creative solutions in support of RBCx. This person will also play a key role in elevating our entire Creative Team, inspiring others by example, introducing new tools, techniques and best practices to increase the quality and efficiency of the work produced.
What will you do?
- Conceptualize, create and refine the RBCx visual identity, including logos, logo usages, color palettes, typography, illustrations and iconography, etc.
- Conceptualize, create and refine internal and external marketing campaigns and assets, the RBCx website and tech client portal, digital and social assets, and more
- Develop the RBCx brand guidelines, providing access to brand assets and resources for internal and external use
- Work closely and collaboratively with the ventures product and marketing teams on brand building and marketing campaigns for those ventures
- Collaborate with copywriters, art directors, creative directors, and production teams within SD and with third party partners to execute marketing campaigns
- Be an effective partner with RBCx marketing, ensuring that design and marketing work seamlessly together
- Effectively rationalize and communicate ideas and designs to key stakeholders and senior business leaders
What will you need to succeed?
Must Haves
- A degree in a design or related field or the equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience working in design or marketing teams, digital or advertising agencies
- A portfolio that demonstrates your design skills and conceptual thinking
- Strong aesthetic skills and a demonstration of graphic design core principles with respect to typography, layout/composition, grid systems, colour, photography, iconography, etc.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and similar tools
- Experience ideating and collaborating alongside a copywriter, visual designers, art directors, creative directors, marketers, and others
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in motion design
- Experience working with performance and digital marketers
- Experience working in start-up environments
