Senior Test Automation Engineer (a/k/a Quality Assurance) (

State Street Bank and Trust Company Boston, MA) Will join a team testing Financial Services applications developed in Java and web-based applications. Will develop new tests and support existing regressions tests on keyword based UFT framework. Must have hands-on experience writing VB Script code, not simply running tests. In addition to the UFT scripts, must have hands-on experience writing code for Java/Selenium projects. Must have excellent communication skills and must be comfortable working with developers and analysts. Will coordinate with development/manual QA team and will be responsible for writing test cases, building our automated testing tools and scripts, working with a remote QA team, helping support our QA environment, and executing various levels of testing of the products. Full-time Telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy.

Minimum requirements Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related technical field plus 7 years of software testing experience. Alternatively, Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related technical field plus 5 years of software testing experience.

Total required experience above must include the following 3 years of UFT programming experience 5 years of strong SQL experience in Oracle, MySQL and 5 years of Java/Selenium programming experience. Must also have the following proven hands-on experience writing VB Script code and code Java/Selenium projects demonstrated hands-on experience with keyword/data driven automation frameworks demonstrated hands-on experience testing Web Services using SoapUI or equivalent tool Demonstrated experience with RTC, Jenkins demonstrated hands-on experience in Industrial Agile Methodology demonstrated experience in testing single page applications proven ability to research technologies and methodologies which will improve our test practices solid troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis skills solid communication skills, both written and oral demonstrated ability to be detail oriented with ability to multitask several responsibilities solid understanding of the software development lifecycle demonstrated experience with Web Services testing demonstrated familiarity with UNIX or Linux and Windows operating systems and using standard UNIX utilities to do testing and identify issues and demonstrated success in a role working on a professional team requiring self-motivation, quick learning, creative problem solving, organization. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the stated ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years or amount of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.)
