Position Title
Job Description
Provide continuous support and solutions to the firm's globally located investors across Asset Allocation, Commodities, Equity, Fixed Income, Macro Analysis and Risk Management. Interact directly with investment professionals at all levels of the organization as a trusted advisor. Answer functional and technical questions from investment professionals about their tools, data, and reports in the areas of research, valuation, risk management, portfolio analysis and portfolio construction. Respond to requests for ad hoc analysis as well as other information delivery solutions. Design, support, improve, and develop data validation and productivity tools and processes. Manage production incidents, determining root cause, appropriate corrective actions, and follow-up. Proactively identify issues and opportunities for improved methods and approaches to support investment processes. Position is fixed location based in Boston office however, telecommuting from a home office is allowed.
Job Requirements
Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of business analysis or systems analysis experience in trading, investment management, or financial services environment.
Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently)
- Buy-side investment management systems and data technologies.
- Writing business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and test plans.
- Using financial instruments including stocks, bonds, swaps, options, futures, forwards, derivatives, and FX
- Advanced investment data concepts including holdings, transactions, security master, analytics, and performance.
- Investment workflows in the areas of research, valuation, analysis, risk management, and portfolio construction
- Writing SQL queries and working with database technologies Oracle or SQL Server
Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently)
- Market Data platforms Bloomberg and FactSet
- Working directly with business partners to understand their needs and deliver technical solutions.
- Performing Python development
Will also accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) plus five (5) years of business analysis or systems analysis experience in trading, investment management, or financial services environment role in lieu of a Master's degree plus two (2) years of experience.
40 hours/week, 900am-500pm.
$140,000-160,000/year.
