Position Title

Job Description

Use software engineering skills to drive development of Wellington's next generation Research and Collaboration tools. Test Strategy, Test design, Test automation and root cause analysis of the anomalies in risk profiles managed by Risk Analytics platform. Partner with Business Analysts to revie w and validate business requirements. Partner with Project Managers, Technical and QA Leads on estimates, statuses, identify issues and raise risks. Enhance existing and developing new capabilities for regression test automation framework. Enhance and develop automation scripts using Karate and Selenium webdriver IO frameworks for UI, Rest API tech stacks. Develop python frameworks for data quality and validation and build scheduling capabilities. Implement CI/CD process for automated jobs to achieve shift left in Jenkins. Use AWS services to triage issue and identify root cause for Batch, ECS, Lambda, Step functions. Write complex SQL queries on cloud hosted databases like postgress and Aurora to analyze risk involved in securities under holding. Stay current with evolving financial industry and technical trends to ensure systems and team are of highest caliber. Position is fixed location based in Boston office however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.

Job Requirements

Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience developing application software.

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently)

  • Systems development experience using Java, J2EE, Node JS, React JS, Jest, Python, AWS, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
  • Building automation frameworks from scratch for API, UI, and Database validation using Python and JavaScript

Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently)

  • Developing applications, including React JS, Jest, MongoDB, Postgress, or CI/CD Build and Deployment
  • CSS(Bootstrap) and Advanced React JS features, including developing python dashboards or exposure to openfin
  • Experience with AWS services, including S3, Lambda, Batch, EC2, and ECS
  • UI rendering optimizations for modern JS applications, including React JS, Angular JS, or Redux
  • Using Oracle databases and PL/SQL
  • Testing methodologies, including Unit testing, Integration testing, Jest, or Mock testing

Employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience developing application software role in lieu of a Master's degree plus two (2) years of experience.

40 hours/week, 900am-500pm.

$140,000-160,000/year.
