Responsibilities

  • Gather business information and incorporate information into project plans with project manager or lead. Provide timely update and accurate documents and communication to project team through life-cycle of change. Work on process improvements and complex projects in identifying business and system requirements, creating project and process specifications for new and/or enhanced systems and drive quantifiable results through facilitating interaction with the business unit. Automate processes for efficient data handling and streamline operations.
  • Support and solve a variety of complex system and system-related problems for the business unit and liaise with technology peers on solution. Write business requirements, understand the problem statement and provide a optimization solution to the manual processing/ problem statement. Work on end to end automation and optimization of processes/ activities from understanding to designing to testing to final implementation of solution. Identify appropriate technology solutions to meet business needs. Automate processes for efficient data handling and streamline operations.
  • Perform and/or support system administration tasks including but not limited to
  • - Change Management
  • - Maintenance and Monitoring of the applications. Install and upgrading of software
  • - Configuration and trouble shooting
  • Work closely with business and partner with tech teams on defining a longterm strategic solution. Lead and manage automation projects, provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership team. Document and track project progress. Fast track change and solutioning to deliver value for business.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, B-Tech, MIS or related field with 3-4yrs of relevant experience specially in automation and solutioning
  • Excellent hands-on personal computer and organizational skills,
  • Familiar with advanced features in MS Word, MS PPT
  • Excellent in automating processes and scripting languages (e.g., VBA, Python, SQL)
  • Excellent understanding of SQL and data sets
  • Good in data transformation techniques and ETL processes using (Advance Excel, Power Query and MS Access)
  • Ability to write SQL queries and understand data retrieval, formatting, and integration.
  • Ability to understand Database architecture concepts
  • Good in creating dashboards using visualization tools Power BI
  • Solid analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, reach conclusions and take action
  • Ability to understand technology as it relates to business and may require product or system certifications.
  • Ability to communicate technology related information clearly to different audiences and clearly detail implementation processes.
  • Strong relationship within the department and across business functions.

Preferred Qualification

  • Exposure to Vermilion Reporting Suite, PowerBI, Tableau or any other reporting tool.
  • Knowledge of Java, ETL, SQL, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server etc)
  • Experience in Asset Management area.
  • Implementation experience with financial services technology, preferably in a consultative role with an eye towards system design and integration.
