In this role, you will

  • Lead or participate in computer security incident response activities for moderately complex events
  • Conduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies
  • Provide security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
  • Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
  • Review and correlate security logs
  • Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
  • Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education

About Role

This position will work closely with other functions within Directory and Database Security Engineering for requirements gathering and support of the deployment of Guardium with a focus on development of controls and procedures to ensure effective monitoring.

Responsibilities

Looking for a highly motivated Senior Information Security Engineer with experience in auditing and monitoring of database systems with IBM Security Guardium to be part of a virtual team of database security engineers. This role will be responsible for end to end management and support of IBM Security Guardium, with a strong focus on ensuring the completeness and availability of logging data. This includes policy management, data isolation support, and trusted traffic management, integration of data with Splunk, Data Quality analysis, audit and forensic reporting.

This role will allow learning and growth on our database platform and security technologies.

Essential Qualifications

7-9 years of experience with IBM Security Guardium Administration

4+ year's database auditing and administration experience

4+ years of audit, regulatory compliance or risk management experience

4+ years of scripting experience using Windows PowerShell, Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Java or PL-SQL

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience with designing and managing Splunk Dashboards, Reports, Lookup Tables and KV Stores

Desired Qualifications

Experience with IBM Security Guardium Vulnerability Assessment and Data Isolation (S-GATE)

Experience with Guardium Big Data Intelligence (GBDI)

Knowledge and understanding of information security risk assessment or audit

Experience with managing one or more distributed database platforms. (i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc..)

Experience with integrating IBM Security Guardium with Splunk (SIEM solution)

Experience in writing and executing Splunk SPL

Experience in preparing Test Plan and Test scripts

Experience with interpreting requirements and implementing Use-Cases

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
