About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join the Branch Banking FP&A team within Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB). This role will report to the Finance Sr. Manager and support LOB month-end close and business review material preparation, expense initiative reporting and analysis, and key risk and compliance control processes.

This position requires strong communication and financial technical skills with ability to analyze data developing business insights, metrics and/or reporting that drives strategic decision making.

In this role, you will

  • Support the completion of core forecast deliverables for Branch Banking (such as monthly Expense Initiative tool updates, CCAR/MYFA, and annual budget cycles) and provide reporting on expense efficiency outcomes.
  • Help to coordinate month end close reporting and variance explanation activities, deliver Branch Banking leadership financial reporting packages, and contribute to monthly business review material preparation.
  • Perform RCSA to proactively identify, assess, and monitor our processes, risks, and controls to help reduce the risk of adverse events and issues.
  • Manage ongoing key risk control processes for Branch Banking Finance (EUCTs, RRP,Reg W, QCA, BCP & etc.) and promote self-identification of any emerging risk issues.
  • Drive adoption of new technology and reporting capabilities within the FP&A team.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting.
  • Ability to synthesize complex findings and communicate results to Finance leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience creating business presentations for senior leadership.
  • Experience with AU general ledger maintenance, posting of manual journal entries and corresponding control processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills with intellectual curiosity with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
