Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist in Commercial Banking Control supporting Global Receivables & Trade Finance.
This role is aligned to the Global Receivables and Trade Control team and will be a direct report to the teams Control Director. In partnership with other Global Receivables and Trade Control team members, responsibilities will include, risk identification and assessment, control and issue management, control design and evaluation, control reporting and governance, and other control programs. This will include ongoing monitoring and assessment of Global Receivables and Trade operating and control environment facilitation of issue management activities and root cause and theme/trend identification leading to proactive issue mitigation. Responsibilities will also include designing controls in partnership with business owners, including effectiveness measures, implementation support, validation of effectiveness post implementation and controls evaluation based on defined triggers. This position will support the development and preparation of Global Receivables and Trade Control teams governance forums. Additionally, in partnership with business owners, provide control and process expertise to implement key risk management programs into the operating framework of the business.
As the front-line control partner of Commercial Banking, Commercial Banking Control Management develops and supports a strong control environment that leads to early identification and sustainable mitigation of operational risk, through joint accountability with business and process leaders. The control function is responsible for risk identification and assessment, control and issue management, control design and evaluation, reporting and governance, and control programs. Credit Solutions Control team leads the control management functions for several businesses within Commercial Banking
In this role, you will
- Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area.
- Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls.
- Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area.
- Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations.
Required Qualifications, US
- 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of issue management policy.
- Experience determining the root cause of identified issues.
- Risk and regulatory compliance experience.
- Ability to proactively manage and mitigate issues.
- Regulatory Control knowledge across enterprise risk management framework, including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance.
- Knowledge and experience with Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) activities
- Experience successfully collaborating with others in a change driven environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
