Working across the organization, the Senior Consultant - Procurement Demand Management role will leverage advanced procurement strategies and analytics to anticipate cost savings and opportunities for cost avoidance. This role will provide expertise in procurement strategy and analytics, effective communication skills, and proficiency in industry-standard procurement tools such as Coupa or Ariba, which will be crucial to deliver success.

Major Duties

  • Partners with category managers, product managers, business partners, and technical staff to understand requirements and various levels of complexity.
  • Interacts with internal and external stakeholders to develop category sourcing strategies and overall supplier relationship(s).
  • Provides coaching, guidance and mentorship to other team members.
  • Plans and coordinates ongoing supplier strategic relationship reviews.
  • Develops product optimization strategies and overall supplier relationship(s) providing input to pricing discussions.
  • Reviews and assess contracts, sourcing plans, demand, usage, and forecasting to create financial models.
  • Leads in-depth contractual demand analysis at the product level using industry-standard tools.
  • Reviews reports to determine impacts, issues, and opportunities and provides KPIs and metrics.
  • Prepares comprehensive views identifying opportunities for cost avoidance and cost savings through contractual optimization.
  • Plans and identifies improvements to existing processes to further gain operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Leads meetings in conjunction with Global Procurement and across business and corporate functions to analyze and review supplier spend.
  • Plans and executes special projects and/or process improvement initiatives.
  • Serves as the point of contact for specific supplier relationships, across multiple business units and service areas.
  • Creates suggestions for improvements of global policies, programs and processes.
  • Carries out activities with financial, vendor, and/or internal business impact.

Knowledge

  • Prior experience with Financial Analysis and / or Procurement Demand Analysis (planning, forecasting, projections). Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of business tools and applications (i. e. Business Intelligence, Financial tools, MS Office 365).
  • Strong knowledge of industry standard procurement tools such as, Coupa and SAP Ariba.
  • Strong understanding of process and process improvement
  • Understands key business drivers uses this understanding to accomplish own work.

Experience

  • A College or University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, supply chain and three to five years relevant work experience. knowledge of Sourcing or Procurement is a plus.
  • Financial analysis and modeling experience required.
  • Ideal candidate should have a Finance and / or analytical type work experience that has analytics and metrics as key responsibilities.
  • Professional certifications are a plus.
