Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to Dimensional's Head of Responsible Investment, the Senior Associate, Responsible Investment role will assist in the implementation of Dimensional's ESG strategy in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Dimensional's ESG strategy includes, but is not limited to, Dimensional's public positioning, policies, disclosures, product strategy, messaging, thought leadership, and regulatory compliance on ESG matters. The role will also contribute to and be part of the broader Portfolio Management team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and assist on the delivery of projects relating to the implementation of Dimensional's ESG strategy, investment-related initiatives, and ESG regulatory initiatives.
  • Draft and review written content, such as policies, regulatory disclosures, client responses, questionnaires, or thought leadership pieces, relating to Dimensional's ESG strategy.
  • Chair relevant working groups, and collaborate with internal partners across regions, offices, channels, and departments on implementing Dimensional's ESG strategy.
  • Coordinate with the Portfolio Management team (including the Investment Stewardship team) on implementation of ESG designs, policies, and procedures that apply to investment portfolios.
  • Work with internal partners to create and deliver ESG educational curriculum and materials.
  • Maintain knowledge of the ESG industry, including client needs, regulation, industry groups, competitors, technology, data, and academic research.
  • Structure and deliver presentations which identify and quantify the value add of Dimensional's ESG approach to clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required. Attainment of (or progression towards) CFA or a similar investment-related qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in an investments related role (e.g., Investment Analyst, Regulatory Analyst, Investment Strategist).
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both locally and in remote offices.
  • Strong writing skills with a proven ability to draft high-quality client-facing content.
  • Good verbal communication skills and the ability or ambition to present to clients.
  • Experience of the ESG regulatory landscape preferred (New Zealand CRD, Australia Sustainable Finance Strategy, TCFD, ISSB, etc.).
  • Strong technical skills preferred (Excel, Bloomberg, etc.).
  • Ability to drive results and operate independently.
