Our General Offices are divided up among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing, and communications supports our agents and field managers. The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market, the advanced (high-net-worth) market, and select cultural markets. Agents sell individual life insurance, individual annuities, and long-term care insurance products, as well as mutual funds.
This position will support the Northeastern Zone.
Role Overview
- Responsible for achieving and exceeding the company's sales goals for Long-Term Care Product Solutions and Individual Disability Insurance by
- Proactively collaborate with agents, sales managers, and business partners to strategize and drive sales-related strategies and tactics for assigned products. Includes regular interaction and coordination across teams to ensure alignment on messaging and execution.
- Provide virtual and field-basedsales training to general office management teams and agentsthrough group and individual development exercises.
- Place outbound phone calls to agents as necessary to drive sales and provide support on cases.
- Leverage significant product knowledge of group benefits (including voluntary and supplemental) to drive acquisition and retention of business.
- Drive sales growth through capitalizing on cross-sell opportunities across existing New York Life clients.
- Act as liaison between agents, managers, home office staff and zone team.
- Deliver sales presentations to both agents and clients virtually.
- Introduce new product enhancements to field management and agents.
- Provide reports on a regular basis of field activityleverage CRM tool to track activity.
- Provide post-sales support as needed.
- Perform planning and administrative tasks.
- Manage travel and entertainment expenses within budget.
- Manage or coordinate special sales projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of field experience as an agent, wholesaler, recruiter and/or trainer.
- Current Life and Health license required.
- Series 6 and 63 (obtain within 60 days).
- Insurance industry designations (i.e., CLU, ChFC, CLTC, CASL etc.) strongly preferred.
- Complete understanding of the Long-Term Care and Individual Disability industry and market, our products, and that of our competitors.
- A broad and comprehensive knowledge of the worksite market, with understanding of the sales process and the dynamics of selling employee benefits.
- Complete understanding of insurance agency systems and protocol required.
- Ability to effectively convey our priorities and creatively wholesale our products.
- Motivated and energetic individual with the ability to drive objectives relatively autonomously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Travel as needed.
