Our General Offices are divided up among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing, and communications supports our agents and field managers. The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market, the advanced (high-net-worth) market and select cultural markets. Agents sell individual life insurance, individual annuities, and long-term care insurance products, as well as mutual funds.
This position will support the Northeast Zone.
Role Overview
Promote investment products (i.e., Income Annuities, Variable Annuities, Fixed Annuities, and Mutual Funds) sales through New York Life career agency in specific General Offices (GO).
Provide necessary training, assistance, and sales support to agents and General Office Management within assigned territory.
Responsible for achieving and exceeding the assigned territory and individual General Office sales objectives by Proactively working with the Zone Regional Manager (RM) tostrategize and drive sales-related strategies and tactics for investment products. Proactively working with Managing Partners (MP) and General Office (GO) management team to strategize and implement sales-related strategies and tactics. This includes delivering product sales training to GO management staff through group and individual development exercises.
Work with agents to implement sales strategies and tactics through education, training and support. Provide development through individual, group and field-basedinstruction.
Perform planning and administrative tasks.
Act as liaison between agents, managers, home office staff and the Zone team.
Work with Internal Wholesalers to drive production.
Provide written reports on a regular basis of field activity.
Manage travel and entertainment expenses within budget.
Manage or coordinate special sales projects.
Participate in quarterly meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum 70% travel.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required years of related work experience in the insurance field.
Track record of continued sales success.
Current Series 6, 63, and Life and Health Insurance License required.
Detailed understanding of the insurance industry and market, our products and those of our competitors highly desired.
Strong communication and professional presentation skills.
Ability to effectively convey our priorities and creatively wholesale our products.
Takes initiative and good problem solver.
Sound decision maker.
Bilingual/Multilingual is a plus (Spanish and/or other languages).
