Responsibilities

The HR Senior Associate will contribute to the development and effective delivery of HR strategies and services working in partnership with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, managers, and employees. Through managing relationships and having a thorough understanding of both the organization's business and people challenges, the HR Senior Associate will effectively support the championing of appropriate HR solutions.

HR Generalist Responsibilities (approx. 80%)

  • Support US-based HR Business Partners with managing and executing HR processes including, but not limited to, performance management, training, employee engagement, diversity initiatives, and offboarding.
  • Act as a point of contact for Oaktree's Global Mobility team on office moves and relocations.
  • Manage updates in Oaktree's HR systems, including Workday, Qualtrics, and beqom.
  • Prepare HR reporting summaries and assist in the creation of materials for meetings including talent reviews, town halls, and senior leadership updates.
  • Provide insight and coaching to enhance management and leadership abilities, relationships among teams/individuals, interpersonal communications, and performance management.
  • Stay abreast of US employment law and make recommendations for policy changes where relevant.
  • Act as a back-up for LA new hire orientation and onboarding of employees.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.

Recruiting Responsibilities (approx. 20%)

  • Manage the recruiting process for positions across the organization.
  • Work with hiring managers to create detailed job descriptions and manage the hiring process through Workday.
  • Review resumes, conduct phone, Zoom and in-person interviews, and complete reference checks.
  • Manage the offer process, including determining appropriate level of compensation as well as extending offers
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure that new hires are transitioning well and meeting expectations.
  • Ensure a diversity lens on all talent acquisition practices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant HR generalist or recruiting experience within a professional firm.
  • Demonstrated skills in understanding and adhering to policies, procedures, and operating controls to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of execution.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, independently determining order of priority and self-initiating other value-added tasks.
  • Experience taking a breadth of information and summarizing it into a thoughtful and succinct communication.
  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

Education

Bachelor's degree is required.

Base Salary Range

$110,000 - $130,000

In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a

comprehensive benefits package

and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
