The
Senior Associate
With oversight, supervision and collaboration, responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing activities for external audiences and internal partners on behalf of Northern Trust across Central Texas. Coordinates the implementation for management of marketing campaigns, events and strategic initiatives. Works with sales staff, marketing directors and relationship managers to promote Northern Trust in our
community.
1. Collaborates with Market President, marketing partners and senior members of the Austin team to develop strategic marketing plans and annual marketing & sales execution tactics in support of growing Northern Trust's business across Central Texas.
2. Supports marketing and execution strategy for client events. Coordinates all planning, arrangements, invitation strategy, detailed execution and follow-up for events. Serve as on site event manager, including set up and breakdown where applicable.
3. Collaborates to execute our firm's local branding strategy leveraging sponsorships, media, membership engagements and personal relationships.
4. Collaborates with the Market President to maintain and grow relationships with community partners such as nonprofit organizations and media.
5. Works with partners to develop, manage and track data for all marketing and sales initiatives. Reports to marketing partners and senior management on the efficacy of initiatives, including return on investment. Proactively seeks new ways to capture data on growth initiatives.
6. Monitors and reconciles marketing spending with strategic planning and annual budget. Manages expenses. Develops ad-hoc reports.
7. Coordinates targeted distribution of sales and marketing materials promoting the firm, product lines or financial information to specific target audiences or market segments. Communicates with internal stakeholders to communicate best practices and highlight success.
8. Work with prospect database to implement proactive DRIP campaigns to support senior team members in cultivating leads.
9. Coordinates materials for prospective client meetings, events, and other brand engagement opportunities.
10. Researches prospective clients, companies, nonprofit and networking groups for senior partners in support of sales initiatives and relationship cultivation.
11.Maintains a working knowledge of local event venues, attractions, restaurants and products to facilitate small and large group experiences and entertainment.
12. Assists in routine interpretation of market research and competitor
information.Obtains
13. Interacts with various areas of the bank, including product The Northern Trust Institute practices , sales and marketing areas, to gather data, facilitate activities and support the team in managing growth initiatives.
14. Makes necessary arrangements for first-class client meetings, events, seminars, high-end experiences and other travel, including audio-visual aides, lunch/dinner reservations, etc.
15.Over time, develops and in-depth knowledge of a full range of wealth management and trust-oriented services (e.g. personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, security custody, financial consulting, estate and tax
planning).
16. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree
Knowledge of marketing strategies and concepts, acquired through work experience and formal education, is required.
Solid project management, organizational and multi-tasking skills are needed to manage a large and diverse pool of ongoing projects. Attention to detail is paramount.
Experience with and passion for planning small, mid-size and larger scale events and exclusive experiences for an upscale crowd.
Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills (written and verbal). Strong interpersonal skills are essential to interface with partners throughout the organization.
Strong technical computer competency necessary (proficiency with Office 365 Suite required, Salesforce preferred).
Prior knowledge of financial industry services and products is beneficial but may be acquired through on the job training and continuing education.
