About this role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant.
In this role, you will
- Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
- Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
- Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements
- Lead or participate on large cross group projects
- Mentor less experienced staff
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
- Design and develop rules within proprietary rules engine to support campaign business.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency by monitoring and validating data quality.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance data management processes.
- Interpret Technical logic / pseudo code to understand and document requirements for campaign rules.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and ability to dig deep into data for RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
- Strong business analysis, data analytics and marketing analytics experience.
- Perform Unit / Scenario testing to evaluate output and present same for review.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum, Jira way of product delivery,
- Experience with working on rules engine and interest to learn new tools.
- Ability to interpret technical logic / pseudo code and create Business rules.
- Ability to multi-task and manage the creation of multiple rules simultaneously, including the ability to manage working with USA based resources to manage the Q&A cycle.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the financial industry.
- High level of problem solving, Team player skills required.
- Experience working with Hadoop / Terradata
- Visualization using Excel (Macros) preferred.
- Basic knowledge of data visualization tools Tableau / Power BI skills, statistical analysis using Python.
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel skills.
- BFSI, Fintech and Banking domain experience is a preferred.
Job Expectations
- Sourcing and Analyzing data from various platforms, files to understand and build data lineage, perform data discovery, data cleaning, validation and analysis to ensure data accuracy.
- Stakeholder management experience to understand data requirement and provide analytical support.
- Analyze data trends and suggest reusable Data Products and Product Management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of financial products and services, as well as regulatory requirements, is a plus.
