About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant who plays crucial part in building and growing a strong Credit and Portfolio Management team supporting the day-to-day tasks and ongoing project work required to supply data analysis and reporting to CIB verticals and support partners (i.e. Commercial Credit, Finance, and Risk Asset Review). The key requirement for the role is the ability to lead the project delivery by understanding the business objectives, formulating the analytic solution and execute/ implement to deliver the solution. He or she should be able to guide the team and change landscape with consistent and quality data, executive level reporting and business line reporting. The role will play crucial part to build foundation for growth to support all Credit/PM reporting and analytic needs.

In this role, you will

  • Own the complete project delivery of Portfolio management team in terms of delivery world class deliverables with quality and timeliness.
  • Connects with customers to understand and document business processes workflow.
  • Develop understanding of business processes and recommend efficiency based on technical and architectural knowledge.
  • Provide both technical consulting to business leaders at an appropriate level of information encapsulation.
  • Apply critical thinking skills and perform advanced analytics with the goal of solving complex and multi-faceted business problems.
  • Develop reports using Power BI, Python, SSRS, SQL, Excel or various other tools
  • Verify accuracy of reports, reconciling data and producing data/information within established timelines
  • Generate deep insights through the analysis of data and understanding of operational processes and turn them into actionable recommendations.
  • Work with technology partners to managing tables, views, and other database structures to adapt to changing business needs and in compliance with embedded IT policies.
  • Answer ad hoc questions from customers including confirming data, populating templates provided to the group or creating new reports/extracts as requested by customers
  • Partner with business stakeholders in the development of key business reporting (e.g. Portfolio level dashboard, Productivity, regulatory reporting etc.) and optimal delivery channels for the distribution of the reporting solutions
  • You are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, team and the business. Responsibilities will also include providing ongoing coaching, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience with SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools, 8+years of commercial credit experience in one or a combination of the followingreporting, analytics, or modeling.
  • 6-8 years prior experience in an internal/external consultative role and/or investment banking/corporate banking, supporting Credit Administration is required.
  • Understanding of Credit products Loans.
  • Candidates should have a solid mastery of SQL and be comfortable working with SQL Server, Teradata, SSRS , Power BI and Python
  • The successful candidate will have a very strong interest in developing both business and technical skills while navigating a dynamic business environment.
  • Responsible for performing highly complex activities related to business analysis and/or modeling.
  • Responsible for senior level consulting partnerships including delivery of findings and recommendations.
  • Designs and leads some of the most complex projects/ analyses, generally spanning multiple products/business lines/functional areas/data sources and may involve extremely complex analytical application of industry-leading experimental techniques or exploratory data analytics.
  • Data involved typically very large, structured, or unstructured, and from multiple sources. To a certain degree, may be involved directly in the technical build-out and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc. that enable analysis, modeling, and/or advanced data visualization.
