Job Description
The Senior Analyst, Finance & Operations (SFA) will be part of the Global Client Group, focusing on Finance and Operations and FP&A for Brookfield Asset Management. The SFA will support and improve the operations of the Global Client Group across all related business groups within BAM and its affiliates, including but not limited to private equity,
infrastructure/renewable
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise and provide strategic guidance on finance and operations across all the business groups
- Communicate with other finance and operations teams to understand the key business drivers for all private fund investments
- Review and manage the end-to-end process of non-GAAP reporting for quarterly financial BAM results as well as assist with various submissions from the business groups (e.g., asset under management, performance measurement reporting, etc.)
- Assist with producing consolidated capital raising results and maintain books and record thereof
- Communicate and work directly with key management personnel in business groups to assist in reviewing and completing quarterly and annual forecasts as well as business plan outlooks
- Perform fund-of-fund quarterly reporting, cash flow management and investor communications
- Assist in creating model fee analysis for new strategies/products as required
- Perform scenario analysis and model projections of all current and future strategies

- Develop and oversee internal management reporting such as preparation of quarterly expense, budget review and third-party relationship management reporting for senior management
- Monitor industry and regulatory hot topics, trends, and best practices, and develop, implement or update Brookfield policies and/or protocols as needed
- Assess current state and propose strategic initiatives to achieve enhanced investor experiences, drive operational change, and streamline processes to improve internal efficiency
- Work with branding and communications and IR teams to assess participation in industry surveys and rankings, and responses to publication requests and DDQs, and how best to position Brookfield within these responses
- Ad-hoc analyses and presentations on financial and operational results, supporting the team with any special projects
Qualifications & Requirements
- University degree in Business or Finance
- Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA)
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive work experience in an accounting or auditing function
- OR
- Strong Excel skills, can perform pivot tables, v-lookups with large amounts of data
- Exposure to private funds and knowledge of the investment management industry
- Strong interpersonal skills, a team player with positive attitude and pro-active approach to work
- Strong communication skills, can work effectively with all levels and departments within a complex organization
- Strategic thinker that can think outside the box, focused on efficiency and improving existing processes
- Ability to handle a large volume of work with tight deadlines
- Experience with PowerBI and similar tools will be considered an asset (but not mandatory)
