Supporting Region UK / Channel Islands (3pm to 12am / 4pm to 1am )

What will you do?

  • Responsible for effective management of Settlement Operations including and not limited to adherence to SLA, handling escalations from team members, workload review
  • Contact counterparties to agree Trade/Settlement dates and swap SSIs.
  • Role covers
  • Asset Transition from instruction through to market Settlement.
  • Trade Capture through to Market Settlement.
  • Drives implementation of controls and processes to mitigate risks
  • Operate common processes in support of all Settlements & Transition activities
  • The escalation to Supervisor / Manager of matters which may present a financial or reputational risk, supported by current market practices, procedural evidence and supporting documentation.
  • Provide relief support to both Settlements and Transition process and other duties as assigned on all functions performed within the team and across the department
  • Provide support, direction and guidance where necessary for admins of the team

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline preferred with minimum 2-4 years of related working experience within a Private Bank or Wealth Management environment
  • Strong working knowledge in MS Outlook / MS Word / MS Excel
  • Minimum 2 years of working experiences within a Securities Operations environment
  • In-depth knowledge of global practices in relation to market settlements
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details to ensure zero error rate
  • As a guideline to ensure a reasonable time is spent in a role, you are expected to have at least 12 months of service in your current role for any lateral move

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with Milvus and SWIFT standards
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Fast learner for new processing tasks assigned
  • Be able to work with minimal supervision
