Supporting Region Channel Island ( 4pm to 1am ).
What will you do?
- Provide high standard of operational support to Banking & Payment Operations team to support the growth of Business in British Isles for multiple jurisdictions
- Responsible for efficient and timely processing of all Banking & Payments products (cheque clearing, BACS & Direct Debits, fixed term deposit, foreign exchanges, account transfers, standing orders) received via Online Service requests
- Process and/or verify all accounting entries accurately and to meet defined cut-off times. Communicate all delays to local management
- Ensure rates are updated in core system upon request and accurate processing of cheque book orders
- Validation of all inward SWIFT and BACS payments observing UK payment regulations
- Process validation of account closure requests, apply interest and making final payment where required
- Promptly ensure completion of filing & scanning in accordance with Policy
- Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance to the bank rule, desk top guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Provide relief support and other duties as assigned on all functions performed within the team and across the department
- Ensure EOD checks are conducted daily with any outstanding issues identified and action on the same day
- Ensure all unreconciled items and outstanding breaks are investigated and accounted for
- All charges pertaining to client transactions and payments are accounted for and ensure entries are processed
- Ensure proper escalation of issues / risks to management
- Other duties as assigned by management
Must-have
- Diploma / Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline preferred with minimum 1- 2 years of Private Bank or Wealth Management environment experience. Fresh graduate are encourage to apply.
- Good inter-personal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Fast learner for new processing tasks assigned
- Strong working knowledge in MS Outlook / MS Word / MS Excel
- Strong working knowledge in SWIFT, Banking products and International payments
