The anticipated salary range for this role is between $64,000.00and $80,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Based in New York City, we are an SEC registered Broker dealer that provides financial products and services to global institutional clients, focusing on North America and Latin America.

This is a contract role.

Role Objectives

  • Set up and maintain customer information and delivery instructions in back-office systems.
  • Work closely with Middle Office, Client Onboarding, and Settlements departments during initial set up and any follow up on issues and/or escalations that may arise.
  • Provide real time assistance to Middle Office and Settlements departments for timely settlement and reduction of failed trades.
  • Perform testing of various system upgrades and initiatives as necessary.
  • Maintain policy and procedures with respect to daily processes and functions.
  • Perform ad-hoc requests and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • High competency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Omgeo Alert, Pershing Netx360, Broadridge Impact or Global One is a plus.
  • Experience in Fixed Income and Equity products preferred.
  • Effectively utilize multiple systems to perform required functions and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver high quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work an early shift/late shift.
