What is the
opportunity?
As a Securities Law Clerk, you will be a key member of the Public Company Group and will assist with securities regulatory filings, diligence processes, funding transactions, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes, administrative matters and other initiatives.
What will you
do?
- Prepare and complete Canadian, U.S. and U.K. securities regulatory filings on behalf of
- RBC
- Draft, revise and coordinate information and documents relating to due diligence, funding transactions, continuous disclosure and other matters that the Public Company Group is involved in
- Manage postings to Corporate Treasury's investor relations webpages including the Covered Bond and European Senior Notes Program sites
- Administer and/or maintain several SharePoint sites, including the Public Company Group site
- Manage third party vendor relationships and engagements
- Maintain a strong working relationship with relevant stakeholders including internal functional partners Perform other administrative duties (i.e. invoicing, archiving, coordinating signatures, closing book library, etc.)
- Assist the Secretary of the Disclosure Committee with the management of the meetings, including managing timelines, coordinating meetings and preparing and circulating meeting agendas and materialsas well as maintaining policies and procedures related to RBC's disclosure controls and procedures and internal control over financial reporting
- Contribute to the overall success of the Public Company Group by providing support to the team with securities law related and various other matters
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Law Clerk Designation or
- equivalent
- Excellent communication, writing and oral
- skills
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and ability to work under time pressure and deadlines Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
- Initiative, self-reliance, an ability to work autonomously and as a team player
- Excellent Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe applications and Excel
- skills
Nice-to-
have
- Working knowledge of the Canadian, U.S. and U.K. regulatory filing systems is preferred
- years' experience as a Law Clerk, preferably with a background in securities
- 7-10
- and corporate
- Familiarity with Diligent software
