Within GR&S, the Enterprise Security and Fraud (ES&F) sub-division is responsible for the global protection of Vanguard crew, property, data, and client assets. This is a highly visible role for a Scrum Leader with people leadership experience. Blaze trails with automation, including GenAI, to enable the Vanguard business, ensure resilience, and protect and defend Vanguard assets & data.

The

Scrum Lead Manager, Automation and Resilience Center of Excellence

  • Leads, builds, and coaches high performing teams in the delivery of technology-related products or projects, ensuring team actions are aligned with project and business goals. Instruct and coach other professionals.
  • Leads planning, team learning, and adaptation of processes to ensure the quality of team solutions.
  • Enables a continuous learning environment, identifying ways to strengthen the teams understanding of Agile/Scrum concepts and principles as they relate to technical capabilities.
  • Builds and applies methodology that supports the integration of changing customer inputs and business conditions into technology-related product development.
  • Recommends to the product owner and management in the definition and prioritization of technology-related outcomes. Identifies trade-offs between short and long term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and product owner.
  • Ensures the application of agile frameworks to the development process to increase effectiveness of technology-related product development or architecture.
  • Removes roadblocks to technology-related product development or architecture. Applies learnings to other development projects.
  • Leverages strong Interpersonal, facilitation and consensus building skills.
  • Obtain cooperation and build trust with peers and at the executive level while skillfully navigating organizational dynamics.
  • Connect the dots between disparate and discrete pieces of information that may be incomplete at times.
  • Build lasting relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Computer Science or Engineering experience preferred. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational technology projects preferred. Financial Services and technical experience preferred.
  • Expert in Planview, Atlassian products, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNowCyber Security, Automation (including GenAI), Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Security Services Domain knowledge and technical acumen including cloud literacy a plus or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Scrum/Agile Certification strongly preferred.
