The anticipated salary range for this role is between $70,000.00and $90,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role ObjectivesThe role is hybrid of Transaction Coordinator / Inside Sales role providing support to sales & marketing activities for the Vendor finance business for SMFL.Help convert leads into recurring clients by demonstrating a clear understanding of key client segments, constructive influence, and by contributing to the production of client communications and content. Help drive team revenue by supporting existing relationships in existing portfolio of end users and acquire new business by using consultative sales and accounts management approaches. Develop leads through phone calls, emails, and personal visits with prospective customers and existing customers. Deepen existing relationships with dealers, manufacturers, and end users. Use a basic understanding of how each partners business operates to help generate customized and relevant offerings. Coordinate and help oversee client service, including equipment acquisition process, liaising with equipment vendors, scheduling servicing and maintenance, closing and documentation, administration and billing, and equipment return and auditing. Respond to incoming end user enquiries, initiating new applications and acquiring of new clients. Interface with internal colleagues in products, sales, and marketing. Serve as a key point of contact with marketing group on finalizing materials to promote the aviation finance business and drive prominent display and product awareness at the end user level.Job Responsibility[Transaction Coordinator]Create documents required for the Vendor Finance Team's transaction.Submit the document to the customer and follow up with the associated funding documents directly.Follow up with the customers and interact directly to close deals.Assist the Sales Manager in closing transaction all aspect of transaction by providing data input, credit submissions, documentation requests, review of executed copies, following up on pending items and preparation for funding.Communicate with dealers and customers.[Inside Sales]Build and strengthen Inside Sales Team (Process improvement, Training, Resource Allocation, Data Analysis).Support and assist ad hoc request (data analysis, report, etc) from manager from time to time.Submit Quick Decision Model (QDM) applications to the credit team for approval.Follow up with Regional Sales Managers for any pending items in QDM, document requests and KYCPrepare internal credit submissions and document requests to advance transactions throughout lease/loan processing cycle.Monitor and update the daily activity and tracking sheet for KYC this includes, maintaining ongoing communication with the with SMBC KYC team in response to their inquiries.Assist the Regional Managers in closing their deals by providing data input, credit submissions, documentation requests, review of executed copies, following up on pending items and preparation for funding.Communicate with dealers and customers.Manage and monitor Program Relationship with existing / potential client.Job Knowledge and RequirementBase knowledge in Accounting, Financingand Credit are required.Fundamental ability to analyze and interpret financial statements. Knowledge of credit scoring criteria.Strong communication skills and experienced in core sales techniques and ability to develop new relationships with dealers, manufacturer and end users.Proficiency with our core systems (Aspire Lease Management system, TValue plus Microsoft Suite)Proficient computer skillsBasic knowledge of word, excel, PowerPoint.Required to have capability of supporting Western Territory (Pacific Time Zone).Visit and conduct in person meeting withcustomer in Californiaas needed.
