Credit Research Group (CRG) Corporates Team Overview |
is responsible for (i) the ongoing surveillance and monitoring of counterparties across the corporate sector, including Consumer Retail and Healthcare (CRH), Technology Media and Telecommunications (TMT), and Diversified Industrials (DI), (ii) synthesizing reports to senior management and Portfolio teams, and (iii) actioning internal and regulatory risk rating changes. |
- Conduct counterparty analysis covering industry-level and company-specific quantitative and qualitative factors to assess creditworthiness and recommend internal credit ratings and regulatory risk ratings

- Develop a thorough understanding of counterparty financial disclosures and transaction memoranda
|
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess counterparties' ability to service debt through cash flow projections
|
- Identify and escalate notable industry and performance trends and recommend appropriate action
|
- Monitor the performance of counterparties in the portfolio, including adherence to covenants and analyzing the counterparties' performance relative to budget and underwriting expectations
|
- Coordinate with global colleagues in GS Risk teams as well as with other divisions, including Investment Banking, Asset Management, Controllers, and Operations
|
- Support key Risk governance and approval committees
|
- Prepare and submit in-depth analysis supporting counterparty ratings for Federal regulatory examinations
|
Basic Skills & Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of prior work experience in a relevant field
|
- Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
|
- Desire and willingness to learn coding languages such as SQL, Python, etc. and a comfort with data analytics
|
- Strong analytical, presentational, organizational and communication skills required
|
