Job descriptionRole is responsible for collecting and monitoring of U.S. Regulatory margin as it pertains to the Prime Brokerage product.Primary Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsEnsures the accuracy of all the prime brokerage transactions on the broker dealer and its sub account ledgersIssue and collect Day Trading marginReview daily exceptions related to minimum Equity, Regulation T Margin, Maintenance Margin and Portfolio Margin for Listed Options businessReview Inter-Company reconciliations of Prime Brokerage arranged financing business and investigate illogical positionsApprove inter-entity funding payments and facilitate back-office journalsApprove client demanded payments or security deliveries for client requested movementsFile Regulatory Reporting when required (Monthly R-1 Reporting, Form Custody Reporting, Short Interest)Manage client queries pertaining to margin reporting or margin related topics in a timely mannerAssist Reg Reporting function in relation to 15C-3, Short Interest Reporting, FINRA reporting and Audit requestsCollect and report data to management in a clear and concise mannerDecision-Making ResponsibilityIndependent decision-making abilitiesAdhering to the Regulatory rules governing Prime Brokers and FINRA 4210 margin rulesEffectively manage multiple responsibilities and escalate where appropriateIdentify high risk functions ensuring strong controls are in place to mitigate risksAuthorizing payments while protecting the firm's reputationAnalyze processes and functions in order to reduce inefficiencies or manual processingFor this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $53,500.00 and $80,300.00.The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.At HSBC, our overall goal is to provide a competitive Total Reward Package, with an appropriate mix of fixed pay, and variable pay, as part of an employee's overall total compensation and benefits.
