Key Responsibilities
- Build strong working relationship with Regional Vice President. Proactively place outbound calls to advisors in assigned region to provide sales strategies and drive SP&AI initiatives.
- Ensure a high level of advisor satisfaction by responding to inbound calls and emails from advisors to provide technical expertise on sales strategies, product rules/regulations, and solutions to drive sales.
- Maintain strong working relationships with product partners and other company stakeholders. This role will also work closely with the other internal sales desks and internal business partners to support client/advisor needs and business objectives.
- Accurately track all activity and pipeline information in Salesforce.com and track/submit all business expenses in Concur Expense Management system.
- Partner with subject matter experts across the firm and outside of the firm to continually improve the quality of advice being given to clients. This includes supporting development of new strategies and on-going maintenance of existing processes, tools, and services.
- Provide support and participate in advisor/client presentations and field facing events. Play a backup for RVP in presentations and events as required.
- In partnership with RVP, travel within region as required to participate in one-on-one Ameriprise Financial Advisor sales calls, conduct client events, and to deliver group presentations, including continuing education/training.
- Complete required coursework in order to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and licenses.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field
- 5+ years' experience in financial services industry, financial sales or financial wholesaling with proven phone skills
- Active Series 7, 63 & 65 (or Series 66) or the ability to obtain within 120 days.
- Deep understanding of SP&AI products and sales strategies (e.g. structured products, private equity, hedge funds, managed futures, tax advantaged solutions, etc.)
- Proven ability to establish rapport and credibility quickly
- Demonstrated sales and coaching experience and understanding of wholesaling process
- Independent self-starter with strong teamwork orientation and relationship skills
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Solid presentation skills for use in one-on-one as well as in frequent large group settings
- Must have a clean compliance record
