RBC Capital Markets is actively seeking a driven and hardworking professional to join our Central Risk Book Group as a Quantitative Analyst.
In this role, the Central Risk Book Analyst will develop and improve statistical frameworks to measure execution quality and trading costs, to manage internal/external flows in a systematic and efficient way.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large data sets to extract actionable information about the equities flows to optimize internalization and overall execution for the bank.
- Optimize flow scheduling based on intraday alpha expectations, market impact/reversion, timeof-day, and other factors.
- Develop / validate various models including market impact models, slippage cost models, trading cost models, etc.
- Conduct research, back-tests & simulations to develop and improve liquidity provision & trading strategies.
- Constant interaction with the cash equity, derivatives & structure trading desk.
Qualifications
- Degree(s) in a quantitative or technical discipline.
- Exceptionally strong understanding of applied statistics and data science.
- Very self-motivated, willing to be part of a very dynamic and competitive team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Must be able to effectively engage with a diverse set of partners to the Equities Central Risk trading effort.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Coding experience need to be comfortable with one of the languages C++ or Java.
