Summary
As a Lead supporting the Technology Risk and Control (TRC) Chief Administrative officer (CAO), you will support the management on oversight of the TRC unit. Oversees significant resources for the TRC and exercises strategic budget and administrative control over planning and project management.
Focus on role is on ensuring the execution of strategic direction of business function activities and use communication (both oral and visual such as PowerPoint) to drive actions
Major Duties
- Project management Oversee and coordinate key projects on behalf of the CAO, ensuring deadlines are met and financial and operational progress are communicated. Maintain risk management and compliance programs and activities for the unit.
- Communication liaison Serve as a central point of contact, liaising between the CAO and other internal stakeholders across technology, risk, audit and business units within Norther Trust
- Experienced and creative in visual communication using PowerPoint or other presentation software.
- Strategic planning Support the development of the division's strategic plan, as well as space and location strategy across business unit. Contributing valuable insights, analysis, and recommendations.
- Budgeting and Finance Assist in budget preparation, financial analysis, and expenditure monitoring, ensuring financial objectives are met and resources are utilized efficiently.
- Decision support Provide critical support in decision-making process by conducting research, preparing reports to senior management and other corporate oversight committees, and offering informed recommendations.
Knowledge/Skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with individuals at all levels of the organization
- In-depth understanding and experiences of information security, IT audit and/or IT risk management principles
- Knowledge of business strategy development to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability performance
- Detail-oriented PowerPoint deck builder with a keen eye for design and layout for visual communication.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive business experience and broad functional expertise, with focus on risk and control functions and proactive strategic leadership
Experience Required
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related
- discipline.
- At least 5 or more years of technology risk management, control functions, audit services experience, or similar experience with transferable skills. Financial Services industry experience is a plus.
