Position Overview

Apollo is seeking an experienced Product Specialist with a strong understanding of Multi-Asset Credit products. The ideal candidate will have a background in fixed income and private credit and will possess a knowledge of the institutional investor landscape.

Primary Responsibilities

  • In partnership with lead product specialists lead communication, engagement and relationship building efforts with clients to drive AUM growth for Credit focused products.
  • During fundraising periods, engage in active client dialogue including being on the road, utilising Credit product expertise to drive investors to fulsome diligence and closing.
  • In coordination with lead product specialists, drive outbound/client engagement in close coordination with global Institutional Sales team. Work with global Institutional Sales team to develop list of target buyers, with a focus on Credit products.
  • Help develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors and asset managers.
  • Partner with Product Management team to coordinate the appropriate coverage for a range of investor dialogues, capitalizing on cross-selling opportunities. Provide feedback on portfolio-driven content crafted by product managers.
  • Communicate key product features, benefits, and risks to clients.
  • Provide idea generation and perspectives to ensure marketing materials (i.e., pitchbooks, white papers) reflect product perspectives, market intel and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across the organization to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to stay up to date on market trends and regulatory changes pertinent to the EMEA market.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience, including product specialist or sales for Credit, and/or relevant investment experience
  • Experience in fixed income and credit product and strategies
  • Undergraduate degree from a top academic institution
  • Strong technical expertise across a wide range of products
  • Experience selling and marketing to institutional investors and asset managers
  • Understanding of alternatives as a product suite
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Able to understand, read the room and adapt to a range of internal and external audiences
  • Experience working effectively across product, capital raising, investment and other functional teams within the organisation.
