Position Overview

We are seeking a highly driven Principal-level distribution candidate to represent Apollo in Southeast Asia (SEA) High Net Worth (HNW) / Global Wealth channels. This individual will report to our head of APAC Global Wealth Management Solutions, Edward Moon,

and join the Global Wealth APAC team based in Singapore.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Principal will be responsible for jointly building the GWM business in SEA, which represents a key strategic priority market for Apollo.
  • Joint responsibility for the servicing of existing clients and partners, onboarding new distributors and leading the sales and distribution activities across SEA, ranging from asset raising to managing and maintaining the relationships with clients
  • Jointly set directives for Apollo's SEA global wealth sales strategy, leveraging industry mapping, peer analysis, and strategic planning to ensure sufficient investor outreach and the strategic fundraise objectives for each fund/strategy are being met,
  • Proactively deepen and broaden relationships with key distributors in SEA, global investment consultants where relevant, and work closely with the Firms investment professionals and other members of GWM to share feedback from investors
  • Become an expert in private markets and Apollo's investment solutions across different asset classes and fund structures
  • Play a key role in planning and organizing various investor marketing outreach activities including roadshows, due diligence sessions, client events and certain other events, in close coordination with the global Events & Brand Marketing team
  • Work in close partnership with broader GWMS team globally as well as APAC capital formation teams to drive our growth strategically in this region

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10-15 years of prior experience, preferably within an alternative asset management firm, wealth management firm, investment bank, or investment consulting firm
  • Excellent knowledge of the SEA retail distribution landscape, with a demonstrable track record of success raising assets from SEA HNW investors and managing relationships with senior level contacts in these organizations, with a results-oriented, profit-driven mentality
  • Sound understanding of alternatives across credit, equity and real assets, and the ability to advise investors strategically on their investments needs, building a strong relationship of trust effectively
  • Culture bearer and team player, keen to operate within the One Apollo' mind-set, an environment without silos where cooperation and coordination is vital to success.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with colleagues, partners, and clients.
  • Solid executor with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understand complex clients' needs and able to deliver first class service through-out product life cycle to clients.
  • An enthusiastic self-starter with a proactive and hands-on approach. High energy and drive, and comfort with working in a lean, fast-paced environment, demonstrating a willingness to roll up their sleeves'
  • A strong compliance culture and commitment to adhere to and embrace internal compliance policies
