We are looking for a self-motivated individual that can learn, execute, and oversee day to day operational tasks within a fast paced environment supporting complex operations for significant investment management clients. This new role within Portfolio Services creates an opportunity for the development of subject matter expertise and experience within a client focused team while attempting to recognize and achieve efficiencies.

The role is client facing, including answering queries from clients over the phone or in writing, working with the COOs to provide timely and accurate responses to ad-hoc client queries, participating in client meetings and representing the business unit. This role will help to build professional working relationships with our clients to achieve our goals.
What you will be responsible for
Portfolio Services analyst will be responsible for numerous functions including, investigation of ad hoc client inquiries regarding the health of portfolios, material reconciliation break review, analyze output on various data checks, month end accounting books close and reopen process, day over day analysis identifying data trends to enhance operational procedures and reduce risk, assist client with new suite of dashboards, review performance discrepancies, participate in group meetings/client calls, among various other responsibilities. Regular interaction with middle office functional teams to oversee and communicate resolution of issues. Responsibility to contribute and develop a strong risk management controlled environment while attempting to avoid inadvertent data disclosures. Take a lead role in any internal/external projects that come our way including audits. Review and validate colleagues work and collaborate with our global counterparts to provide follow the sun coverage. Ensure procedures are documented and followed. Conduct high-level analysis in complex areas of expertise, identify and resolve work-processing issues, make suggestions to streamline operations and implement. Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to other departments and employees including training for new team members, and cross training for existing team members. Review and resolve discrepancies on complex and escalated matters from external clients and internal departments. Approve documented workflow, procedures and controls. Ensure documented procedures and checklists are maintained and up to date. Determine impact of activity to other areas. Make proactive recommendations and solutions for problem resolution. Interface with senior level internal and external clients and other departments on complex matters and inquiries. Ad-hoc reporting, including daily, weekly and monthly metrics. Engage in complex special projects and assignments including new client onboardings.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree with emphasis in finance, accounting, or economics
- or
- 1-3 plus years related industry experience including operational experience
- Working knowledge of Domestic and International financials and related instruments
- Understanding of investment operations
