What you will do
The Senior Investment Associate will play a critical role in sourcing, underwriting and management of investments on behalf of the Prudential Private Capital (PPC) corporate mezzanine fund (currently investing out of PGIM Capital Partners VI, a $2.23 billion capital commitment's vehicle) and interacting periodically with the fund's LP investors. In this role, the Senior Investment Associate will have the opportunity to leverage existing background and career experiences, while also developing a unique blend of skills involving financial analysis spanning the capital structure, direct transaction sourcing, structuring, and negotiating new senior debt, subordinated debt and structured equity transactions. PPC's clients range from sponsor backed and non-sponsor backed businesses across a range of sectors, where we support a variety of growth, M&A, recapitalization and refinancing needs.
What you can expect
- Collaborating with other professionals to make investment decisions across the full investment lifecycle (underwriting and portfolio management through to realization)
- Negotiating terms of investments and assisting in structuring and documentation of new transactions
- Business

- Collaborating with other professionals (including frequent and direct access with dedicated partners on the fund's investment committee) on special projects that help to guide and evolve the fund's activities and strategy
- Periodic interaction with the fund's investors and operations team
Required Skills
- 5 years of financial modeling experience including cash flow analysis, scenario analyst, and break even analysis.
- Specific experience with subordinated debt or preferred equity transactions
- Work experience and training within an investment bank, private equity, or private credit firm
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance with strong academic performance.
- Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills
- Participation in the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) program is a plus
