The Payment Services
Financial Crimes Controls
(FCC) Chief Risk Office (CRO) team is seeking a Business Line Advisory Analyst responsible for managing financial crimes risk impacting Payments Services, specifically for Corporate Payment Systems (CPS).
Responsibilities include
- Providing Advisory oversight of Financial Crimes Controls specific to AML/BSA risks
- Supporting business line adherence to related enterprise policies, including the implementation of new policy requirements and documentation of controls
- Risk oversight of new products, services, and initiatives to manage applicable financial crimes risks
- Proactively assessing risk in business processes and working with Business Lines on developing controls and executing remediation plans, as necessary. This will include assessing control efficacy and performing root cause analysis/resolution
- Engaging with key partners across the Payments CRO, Business Lines and Second Line of Defense Teams on key strategies to ensure business processes are working effectively and there are adequate controls to mitigate financial crimes risk
- Oversight will include exposure to Canada and Europe jurisdictional requirements related to CPS operating locations
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically more than six years of applicable experience
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Thorough understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and related Canadian and European requirements.
- Considerable knowledge of internal Enterprise Financial Crimes Compliance Policies related to AML/KYC, Financial Crimes Program and Economic Sanctions requirements.
- Familiarity with business lines operations, products/services, systems, and/or associated risks/controls.
- Knowledge of

- Experience with large complex banking organizations and their product/service offerings.
- Experience in interpreting policy, enforcing requirements, working with business partners, negotiating desired outcomes, executing project and implementation plans, and reporting issues and trends to management.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, presentation, relationship building and negotiation skills.
- CAMS designation or equivalent risk management certification.
